Another one in ~zhuzhu's loose style. It's actually not as hard as it seems, you just need to right brush in Photoshop (something angular with angle set to 'initial direction' Mine was based off Sandara's)

It might not be the most flattering self-portrait, but I still really like this. :) Think I overworked it a bit, though.

all of your work that I have looked through so far speaks from the heart, like this self portrait, I think it is really good. Not to mention photoshop kicks ass, good tools need to be in the hands of good "craftsmen." As of this comment, I am going to put up my work on deviant, you have sorta given me the push to do it :)

This looks fun and turned out great! I've been wondering, do you have to open the Color Picker popup window everytime you want to select a new colour? I've seen artists change the brush colour so quickly, whereas when I tried it, it felt a bit unwieldy.

One of my tablet buttons is set to alt+click which samples the colour underneath the cursor, so I basically just find a blank spot on the canvas and make some little pools of color to grab from in addition to grabbing colors off the artwork itself. The other button on the stylus is set to undo (alt+ctrl+z). This helps me to work pretty fast... except when I'm changing brush sizes, I wish I had a quicker way to do that...
